Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation – SCQF level 7 – near Glasgow
Qualifications required: 4 National 4s or equivalent including Maths and English, or a Level 2 BTEC in Construction
About the role:
We have a new exciting opportunity to work as an Advanced Electrical Engineering Apprentice. This role with give you the opportunity to work for a market leading company, whilst gaining valuable skills and experience to ensure you develop to your full potential throughout the apprenticeship.
What the apprenticeship will offer:
During the four-year, Advanced Apprenticeship, you would complete the full framework on day or block release. After completing the Advanced Apprenticeship, you would be given full support to develop into a qualified Electrician or may have the option to be supported towards a management role via a degree and professional status
We will support you through your formal apprentice qualification in addition you will follow the Balfour Beatty Enhanced Apprentice programme. There are a mix of development events and activities, plus in year 2 you will compete in the Balfour Beatty Brathay Apprentice Challenge, to help us find the Balfour Beatty Apprentice Team of the Year! The challenge is a mix of community engagement activities and a team building event in the Lake District. Your responsibilities as an Apprentice Electrician:
As an Apprentice Electrician, you would work within a team on our projects to assist with the installation and testing of low voltage electrical equipment in buildings or high voltage electrical equipment in power transmission and distribution.
Who we’re looking for:
· 4 National 4s or equivalent including Maths and English, or a Level 2 BTEC in Construction
· Good communication skills
· Good team working skills
· You will have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your academic and vocational development.
· You will always behave with integrity
· Pass pre-employment medical which will include a Drug & Alcohol test
· You must have completed the SECTT Pre-Employment Assessment via online application before being invited to interview
