If so, our Analytics team at Meta are looking for Data Scientist Apprentices to join their fast-moving team and work on the next generation of products, systems and services that help people connect with each other around the globe.

This Higher Apprenticeship program runs for up to 19 months and is designed around the IFATE (Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education) syllabus for the Data Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard. This role is based in our London office with some remote working, within the Analytics team in conjunction with our training provider, Multiverse.

You will receive continuous training & development, with a tailored development plan and opportunities to increase your skills throughout, which includes:

• Multiverse’s Community Hub with unlimited access to training events & webinars such as Excel, SQL and Python fundamentals bootcamp
• 20%: Combination of theory, technical and practical training with Multiverse
• 80%: On the job learning with 3 rotations across Meta Analytics team
• Full support from your manager, buddy, and mentor to aid you in securing a permanent role at Meta

Data Science, Apprentice (Level 4) Responsibilities:

– Perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful business insights
– Work with Product Manager and Engineering team to identify actionable insights to influence the direction of the business by communicating results
– Suggest improvements in the tools and techniques using data analysis

Minimum Qualifications

– 1 A’level (or equivalent) at Grade C or above
– Level 2 in English and Maths, or a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualifications or experience
– Preferred subjects include at least 1 STEM subject with a some in technical or numerical subjects such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics etc

Preferred Qualifications

– Preferred subjects include at least 1 STEM subject with a some in technical or numerical subjects such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics etc
– IT literate and genuinely excited to play with data on Excel, with an understanding of solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
Some interest or exposure to SQL and Python coding languages (either self-taught, school, open-source projects, or programming competitions)
– Interpersonal skills teamed with the ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically
– A strong interest in learning and growing a career within Data Analytics and a commitment to completing the apprenticeship program as an alternative to attending University
