The People department are a passionate and dedicated bunch, committed to providing Seasalt’s employees and managers with seamless Human Resources (HR) support and are the custodians of our Seasalt Values and inclusion strategy.

As a HR Apprentice you’ll learn from and support each team within the department, contributing to a variety of administrative and process tasks throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee experience, volunteering, learning and development, inclusion, employee communications and reward and benefits. Providing a professional seamless service and role modelling our values, this apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop your knowledge of HR practices and an understanding of the department’s role within a growing commercial business.

Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations – Falmouth (primarily) and Redruth for a minimum of two days per week – and working remotely from home.

You’ll help us by:

Supporting with employee experience and engagement, you’ll help to deliver a positive employee experience at all points of the employee lifecycle including administration of onboarding, engagement, employee relations, development and offboarding.

You’ll provide a recruitment service to candidates and the business, helping to deliver a positive candidate and hiring manager experience, managing administrative tasks throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Collaborating on employee communications, you’ll support the management of mailboxes and content updates to various platforms owned by the HR team, sending communications to employee networks and supporting with planning of internal events.

In addition, you’ll support with planning, communications and delivery of a variety of projects and initiatives across the team including inclusion, HR business partnering, career development, reward, data and learning and development.

If you are proactive, have competent IT skills, have an eagerness to learn and a desire to develop a career in HR, you could thrive in this role. Strong organisation, communication (both

verbal and written) and prioritisation skills are key, alongside being able to work towards deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You’ll enjoy working as a team, building relationships while you provide support to colleagues across the business.

An apprenticeship is a great way to start your career, with the opportunity to progress into roles such as Employer Brand & Resourcing Administrator and People Assistant.

The apprenticeship:

As one of our Apprentices, you will be on a 2-year fixed term contract starting in September 2024. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

With support from your line manager and the Training & Early Career Advisor, you will be working towards a Level 3 HR Support standard. This will give you an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge of business functions as well as gaining experience within the People team departments.

We are looking at recruiting on potential and your enthusiasm to succeed. Because of this, we will be running an Assessment Day to find out more about your skills for this role. The Assessment Day for this role is taking place on: Tuesday 9th July.
