Technical Co-ordinators ensure that each of our developments are tailored to local design codes and aligns with our ‘Great Places’ ethos. This programme will give you the training, support and experience you need to excel in this role. Working closely with internal designers and engineers, urban designers and planners; you’ll select materials and house types for schemes; review floorplans and layouts; investigate topographical levels and highways; develop sustainable drainage strategies and adopt modern methods of construction (MMC) in your designs.
Making a great place
As part of your Degree Apprenticeship, you’ll communicate design changes across departments and develop project key management skills with external consultants. An integral part of the business, you’ll play a key role in Barratt Developments’ zero-carbon goal by 2030, using innovative, cost-effective designs like timber-frame construction and airtight insulation.
Eligibility
To qualify for Higher Apprenticeship, you’ll need ONE of the following:
- One A-Level and four GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- A BTEC National Qualification
- An Advanced Diploma in Construction or Built Environment
- Other access or foundation course
More experienced candidates without formal qualifications will be considered on merit, taking into account factors such as work experience, previous qualifications and skills gained in the Armed Forces.
