Metaverse Apprenticeships – Fancy a career in VR?

What is the Metaverse?

The Metaverse is a bit of a buzzword at the moment, and one that doesn’t look like it’s about to go away.

In a nutshell, it describes a collective virtual shared space, including virtual worlds, augmented reality, and different community spaces on the internet.

The Metaverse is a concept from Neal Stephenson’s 1992 science fiction novel “Snow Crash”. The idea was later popularised by software such as Second Life, World of Warcraft, and Roblox.

Ultimately, it describes a virtual reality world. It is where people can go to explore, create and interact with others. Because it is growing in popularity, it needs lots of different people to make it work.

This includes people getting a start in their careers, across graduates, interns and apprenticeships.

Meta has a recently launched and highly rated software engineering apprenticeship. During the course of the programme you’ll complete three rotations on three different software engineering teams that are building the next generation of products, systems and services that help people connect with each other around the globe.
