What are the requirements for an apprenticeship?

While apprenticeships do not all necessarily require formal qualifications, many will ask that you have passed your English and Maths GCSE exams (or equivalent) to show that you have the basic literacy and numeracy required for a wide range of job roles.

Moving on to higher level apprenticeships, such as degree apprenticeships, may also require that you attain grades at A level, or achieve a set number of UCAS points.

Keep in mind that all roles are different (and usually flexible), so if you think you can demonstrate the passion and skills for a role that you don’t quite have the qualifications for, you should definitely still apply.
