Our four-year school leaver apprenticeship programme allows you to combine work experience with professional qualifications. We provide you with training in relevant skills and behaviours, as well as the professional knowledge you need to succeed in your role. From day one you can count on an extensive network of support – your People Manager will help you settle in and find the best ways to realise your full potential.

The Explore BDO Insight Programme is open to year 12 and year 13 students and offers the opportunity to be fast-tracked through our hiring process for a School Leaver Apprenticeship role if eligible.

How to get work experience at BDO?

The Explore BDO Insight Programme is aimed primarily at year-12 and year-13 students who attend a state school and meet our social mobility criteria based on the job of the main earner in their household. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will be invited to complete an online assessment and video interview. Before completing this we will send you a video with our hints and tips to help you succeed during the final stage of the process. We will also ask you to complete the Match Me Tool, to learn which area of BDO might be best aligned to your interests. To take part in the programme please note access to a computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection is required and you must be able to travel to London on the final day of the programme. BDO can provide support with equipment needs and travel expenses.
